Field Day 2025 at Richland Elementary was a sun-soaked, slime-filled, scooter-scooting SUCCESS! ☀️🍧🏃‍♂️🎈 From popsicles on the playground to parachutes, pinball, buddy stations, ocean tag, 800m races, bubbles galore, and sensory slime time — we did it ALL! We wrapped it up with our epic 2nd annual 6th Grade vs. Staff outdoor basketball game! 🏀 Huge shoutout to Coach Adkins and Coach Hopson for planning an unforgettable day of smiles, teamwork, and memories. Third grade crushed the Give-A-Thon and earned the ultimate reward: pieing Mr. Gattus in the face! After the whipped cream flew, they celebrated with a popsicle party! Huge thanks to everyone who contributed—your support made this sweet (and slightly messy) victory possible! 🥧 @billgattus

Tonight, our very own RLE music teacher, Dylan Kirk, was named the 2024-2025 RISD Elementary Teacher of the Year and will represent RISD in the State Teacher of the Year competition! From teaching music and producing Broadway-esque musicals, to coaching our Rockettes dance and cheer team, serving on the PTA board, and representing as a RLE Insider, Mr. Kirk does it all, and he does it with excellence!
