This is such an underrated point when it comes to squad building at a World Cup. When France won in 2018, Deschamps picked Adil Rami essentially for 'vibes'. He didn't play a single minute but was seen as key in the dressing room.

The most inevitable thing ever is Gordon getting a big move, excelling and our fanbase whining saying we should’ve never sold. Reality is ~£80m for a player who clearly doesn’t want to be here and has been lacklustre for 2 years is great business

@GianfrancoShoIa Not the player he was 2 seasons ago, he’s done his bit for us and been a good signing, we’ve given him the platform to develop. Hopefully double our money and go and get a better version with the motivation to play for us.

Safe to say Gordon and his camp are planning on leaving, I’m not one to bash players just because they’re leaving but in this instance I think it’s right for all parties as long as we get a good price for him! Cash in, reinvest and move on…quickly this time please #nufc

@gw850 The team has been hopeless but the sheer number of goals conceded after 85mins has killed us this season. Even half of those points dropped would have us competing for top 6, not to mention blowing 2 points at Leverkusen would have saved us 2 pointless play off matches. Shambles!

Glad we got that win. Rode our luck massively, whilst West Ham had some rotten luck in their game at Brentford. If the fine margins were against us, we’d be on 42 points and below Forest, with West Ham on 39 and Spurs on 37. Blimey.
