Nigel Farage asked on BBC news this morning if he'd debate with me.
Says he's too busy with the local elections & it will just be a "big row."

As a member of the Privileges Committee, I, along with other members of the Committee, abstained from yesterday's motion to refer the Prime Minister to the Committee.
Had the Prime Minister been referred, it would have been essential that the Committee considered the matter without any perception that it had pre-determined its conclusions.
My decision to abstain reflects the importance of preserving both the integrity of the process and public confidence in its fairness.

I let myself down earlier by taking the bait. I apologise & retract. I shouldn't have called KB "vile". I should have been more precise about why I am so disgusted by her turning sexual abuse into a political attack-line. Disagreeing with her motion is not supporting Epstein.

I remember during partygate, Chris Bryant would preach about integrity, honesty and trust day and night.
Any signs of corruption would instantly result in 20 posts and 4 articles by him.
Now he has voted to back Keir Starmer and a cover up. A hypocritical imbecile.

Badenoch is lying to you. Only our voters, not Keir Starmer, can take away our jobs as MPs. Rebelling has almost no consequence (besides a brief suspension) and it allows the rebelling MP to grandstand to their voters that they're 'independent' thereby increasing their vote.

To save his own skin, Keir Starmer threatened his MPs with the loss of their jobs unless they helped cover up his misleading statements to Parliament. It is a disgrace that 333 Labour MPs chose to be complicit in that cover up. It is very notable that the Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister would not repeat his boss’s exact claim that there “was no pressure whatsoever” from No10 on the appointment of Peter Mandelson, instead trying to 'clarify' what he had meant. This is a government coming apart at the seams. They are more interested in their own survival than the cost of living crisis affecting hardworking families. Labour MPs will rue the day that they voted against this motion, because it is the day that people saw they believe there’s one rule for Labour and another for everyone else.

Why is drinking alcohol during the working day treated as acceptable for MPs?
Yes, Parliament can involve long days. But so do 13-hour hospital shifts as doctors.
A doctor drinking alcohol mid-shift would face serious consequences, and rightly so.
MPs vote on decisions that affect millions of people. The public should be able to expect the same basic standard: sobriety at work.
One rule for them, another for everyone else.

@truemagic68 I don’t disagree but the few people I know who would vote green have pretty unsuccessful lives and do so out of envy/ biterness. If you have fuck all seeing the country go to ruin probably doesn’t impact you. Ps I’d never vote for the guy he’s a lunatic

Many see him as a dodgy PM now (appointing the prince of darkness can do that to you) so whipping MPs to vote this down will just let people make their own version up

Tory vote on referring Keir Starmer to the Privilege’s Committee is a political stunt but to blow it out of the water Keir Starmer should show confidence & refer himself, demonstrating there is nothing to hide. Whipping a vote against will produce smears we’re backing a cover up.
