The NATA Research & Education Foundation is deeply saddened by the loss of our board member, District 8 Director, and dear friend, Ky. His passion for advancing the athletic training profession made a lasting impact. Our thoughts are with his family and colleagues.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of outgoing CATA President, Dr. Ky Kugler. Ky impacted many lives as a friend, colleague, mentor and professor. We send our deepest sympathies to the Kugler family and to all of those affected. May he find eternal peace.

National Athletic Training Month made it to the @TODAYshow Plaza this morning! Nearly 50 athletic trainers and students showed up with signs, energy and pride for the profession, and even got a live shoutout from Craig Melvin, who shared that he loves athletic trainers. 🙌 After the show, the group kept the momentum going with a networking breakfast connecting students and seasoned professionals from programs across NY, NJ and PA. Advocacy protects patients and strengthens the future of athletic training. Through @NATA1950 -led advocacy efforts - including Capitol Hill Day - ATs come together to educate legislators, advance healthcare policy, and expand access to athletic training services nationwide.
