My girlfriend then (Now ex) will always ask me if my best friend was aware that he was my best friend. The question always sounds weird to me but I'd dismissed it. One day while we were on the phone, I was speaking highly of my friend over a situation we just handled, she got angry and yelled "Can you just stop talking about him like that?" I just found out that whenever i leave for work, my security man takes my key from where i keep it, opens my door and puts stuff like drinks/water in my fridge and takes them out before i come back. Two weeks ago, I was trying to get a bus in oshodi, a man held my arm, another held my other arm, asking me where I was going to. Just in front, another held my arms again saying one man in front was saying he likes me. I was tired and blew up on them, I asked them how many men who tried to get a bus they held this way; they all went silent. I stood there asking them that same question and they started saying sorry. The few responsible men have so much work to do. Go out there, educate these ill mannered men. Work with NGOs to educate the younger generation of men better. Parents, pay attention to your boys and raise them properly. A glue will come when women will push back this harm with harm too. You can’t poke people for centuries and expect them to be gentle about seeking for justice and respect. Men as a whole should not be afraid to stand up to other men.

Bro, I’ve realized that women can have a strong influence over men’s behavior and can sometimes make them act differently than usual. When I was staying with one of my guys, whenever his girlfriend wasn’t around, he wouldn’t really spend much. We would just manage things and even stay all night without gen on. But once she showed up, everything would change. He would start spending more, ordering all kinds of food, and even tell me to pick whatever I wanted…he would pay and also tidy the house… He will buy liters of petrol so that Gen can be on overnight My only issue is that whenever she is around, he gets too carried away. At least he should still balance things and make time for his friends too, not just stay locked up in the room with her all the time.
