@RMDavie Agree.(Taking a course). 1st book, I thought ‘sooo much description’ I’m not one to skim/skip over words, but I was tempted. It was beautifully written. My in-laws met her at a Scottish Highlands games at Stone Mountain. She hadn’t been to Scotland when she wrote 1st book!

#WritingCommunity, any favourite escapism reads? I’m rereading #outlander again since eighteenth century Scotland is far superior to this 2020 nonsense.

@InTheHighlands I reread the whole series over the summer and honestly, especially if you’ve never read the whole thing, I highly recommend. It’s so immersive. Not to mention, studying DG’s writing is like taking a course.

@RMDavie I’ve been thinking of rereading that series too. I think I only got to the 4th book anyway. But...my TBR is getting so out of hand.

Do you know what the best way to edit is? Editing to send chapters to an eager reader. I'm blasting through this book so that I can send chapters to someone who's truly enjoying this book and asking for more every day. This is the most effective source of motivation I've had.
