On March 24th, 1922 four Great Western Railway track workers were killed in a tragic incident that occurred near Wilmcote station in Warwickshire. Yesterday, RMT Regional Organiser, John Watson was honoured to be present at the unveiling of a permanent memorial to these workers.

We found both Ethel & Alice because they were members of their union, the NUR (now @RMTunion)! Alice joined virtually as soon as she could, in 1915; Ethel followed a year later. Though they only worked on the railway for a while, it shaped their lives - as revealed in the blog!
