RNLI Pager

We believe we have found a work around to bring the launch notification service back online, you should start to receive notifications for future launches.

Unfortunately, a technical update at the @RNLI website means the launch notification system is currently down, we hope this will come back online soon.

@Felim_Doyle If you'd like to donate an Android device for me to develop on, then I could most likely get working on it :)

@RNLIPager I imagine that this is one of the more frequent questions that you are asked but are there any plans to develop the #RNLIPager app for Android given its 70% market share? -- Félim

Via @RNLI: "From Friday 20 March 2020 we are changing how our latest launch system works. Going forward this will not affect how you view our latest launches, however the system will not update until the change has been completed."

@railroom Hi there - we're an unofficial app for iPhone, unfortunately we do not control/operate the pager on PC - you will need to talk to @RNLI about this.

There are 29 launches unaccounted for, these won't be sent to your device to cut down on false launch notifications.

@outonashout The @RNLI's shout system seems to now be back online - normal service is now resumed.

The RNLI Launch system is currently down. This means @RNLIPager and @outonashout will not report launches for the time being.

We've fixed a number of bugs with the notification delivery system, if you spot any problems, please do let us know!

@RNLI Your API server was down (services.rnli.org) for around 10 mins, I was just curious if you knew and/or when it would be back up!

@_DanChaps @outonashout @penleelifeboat Hi Dan, The callouts posted here are linked to the pager shouts. If the crew are already out on training, or called out another way, we do not get notifications to post. @RNLIPager is working on a system where RNLI Stations themselves can add callouts manually to the app.

@outonashout @RNLIPager @penleelifeboat Penlee ALB has been out for an hour with Falmouth and Lizards lifeboats but no notification???
