Condominiums are rarely built in Washington. I signed 2 bills today to change that. HB 1403 cleans up the language in state law to create clear, workable standards for this housing. HB 1516 directs the Office of the Insurance Commissioner to find options for insuring this housing to help it be built. Thank you to Rep. Jamila Taylor and Rep. Natasha Hill for eliminating barriers to construct condominiums, which can be an affordable option for first-time home ownership.
