Despite how little he actually appears, I do think Dark Sonic is important to the lore because it answers a pretty big plot hole left by SA2: If Tails can create fake emeralds, why can't he just create a set of 7 and allow Sonic to go super whenever he wants?

Tbh I never cared about the damn suit color, Hal Jordan being older and being sidelined in the DCU is the problem. Every single good GL story is Hal Jordan (for the most part). People that are excited for John don’t even know his best solo run is 😭.
