Christ is risen from the dead, and with him, we too rise to new life! This Easter proclamation embraces the mystery of our lives and the destiny of history, reaching us even in the depths of death. #Easter
Whoever at HBO needs to hear this:
Casting a black African man to play WHITE BRITISH Severus Snape doesn’t give me “REPRESENTATION” at all.
It gives me NAUSEA.
Because Harry Potter has been around for 28 years and 8 movies.
Which means you’ve had exactly that long to create a similar black series of your own.
You chose not to.
So to make him black NOW can only be to piss off the white fans that made the series successful in the first place.
IT. WONT. WORK.
They tried it with Little Mermaid: BOMB.
They tried it with Doctor Who: BOMB.
They JUST tried it with Captain America: BOMB.
And like those 3 flops, white people will boycott - and black people couldn’t care less.
Because the show is obviously being made by people who hate the franchise and its characters.
This ridiculous DEI casting should have stopped by now, but obviously USAID and the ESG people are paying for it, so it’s easy to burn other people’s money.
Keep it up Hollywood, I love laughing at the YouTube critics laughing at you fail.
Talking to a friend who works more than me: buddy, it’s called life. It’s called joy, time with family. Nature.
Talking to a friend who works less than me: at a certain point in every man’s life he needs to step up bro
Everyone's talking about workweeks.. at peak productivity in animation I did 10-13 hr days, sunup-sundown, only breaking to scarf quick meals (70-90 hrs). Even though animation is my love, my greatest passion, it is undoubtedly a lot of suffering to work that much - I had no life, no self-care, barely any leisure. Granted, this was never my "job" aside from a few commissions - I worked a job with the shortest hours possible so I could have time to animate.
No one should be forced to work more than 40/week to live, especially not at a job they despise or has no real benefit to society. It's one thing to work obsessively over something you love. I can't imagine slaving over something I don't care about for someone else, not for more than 40 hours a week. It is evil how people are worked to death in this country just for the minimum while made to feel guilty that they're not working more.
Thinking of doing a 'Love Actually' on the missus this year. Gunna buy a real nice piece of jewelry, leave it in a really obvious 'hiding spot ' only to return it before Christmas.
