🥱 RTG has been a little...sleepy. Nothing like getting up from fall season hibernation, on New Year's Day aka 2025 PGA Season Eve! Big 🧵to wrap up 2024 and kick off RTG 2025:

@Top100Rick Why not have both in your pocket and choose the right one for the situation? If I'm far away/out of the way, I use a big one (honestly so I can see it). Shorter putts, flat one to be polite.

Hot take: Only flat ball markers should be used on the golf course. The rest are collectibles. Only the bottom 4 should be on a green. Big markers need to be moved all the time and just slow down the game. Flat markers very rarely need to be moved. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to show off cool ball markers every chance I get. But not worth having to hear “Can you move that” 5 times a round.

@CPowers14 They made two birdies between them. Springer and Smalley made 15 and an eagle.

@jamierkennedy Like fantasy football, everyone loves to talk about their own rounds but no one actually cares about your round or second shot on 11 from the tree. Harsh, but generally true.

@Hunta512 led the way at #Masters with his value plays for English, Stevens, and Scott. He's has two previews on DK Network, and they are both crushing. @PGATout with the Gutsiest Play and Tyrrell Hatton. Oh, and no one we track was touting Rory... #GolfDFS #DFS

🏌️ RTG Top Plays for #Masters Fitzpatrick (likely) and Adam Scott (less likely) at 46% consensus, but the Power Index wants Corey Conners. Psst..Rahm is winning #GolfDFS #DFS

Rory McIlroy was asked what has brought him the most joy away from the game in the last year. His answer was so heartwarming. "I'd say watching my daughter grow up. I think Poppy, like she's a mini Erica. It's like living with two of them, which is great a lot of the time. She is the most unbelievably polite and respectful and well-behaved little girl, and I really love that she started to get into the game a lot more, and it all stemmed from the putt last year at the Par 3."

The most comprehensive set of masters trends we've seen. Also effectively eliminates everyone we like 😂
Ron Klos@PGASplits101

🚨The most comprehensive list of the highest % trends at The Masters for the most predictive course - Augusta National Golf Club. TAKEAWAYS ⛳️Love them or hate them, the trends speak to the bigger picture of what matters at Augusta National. ⛳️Course knowledge and experience is directly correlated to success. ⛳️A longshot winner is improbable. ⛳️Recent winning experience is significant. ⛳️Current form, especially tee-to-green is paramount. ⛳️An elite putter is not required. ⛳️It's a "bombers" paradise - Architect Bobby Jones literally designed the course to give golfers "an unrestricted feeling of being able to swing away amid a wide swath of parkland". He believed that good drives would be rewarded, not by staying out of penalty areas, but by “making the second shot simpler in proportion to the excellence of the first". ⛳️Attacking the par 5s (with aggressiveness) is a necessity. ⛳️Chipping on tight, uneven lies around the green is a predictive skill and brings out the best short-gamers. ✅Three players fit 17 of 19 trends... Ludvig Aberg Xander Schauffele Tommy Fleetwood ✅Six players fit 16 of 19 trends... Scottie Scheffler Rory McIlroy Jon Rahm Bryson DeChambeau Matt Fitzpatrick Min Woo Lee ✅One player fit 15 of 19 trends... Cameron Young ✅Two players fit 14 of 19 trends... Collin Morikawa Hideki Matsuyama ⛳️Last year, Rory McIlroy fit all 19 trends...and won.

Sudar McGavin is the real deal. He bombs it off the tee, but with accuracy, very good iron player, excels at scrambling and putting, so doesn't make big numbers, and he makes a ton of birdies. I'm riding the hot hand until his price rises significantly or his play falls off. He's in 81% of my Draftkings cash game lineups this week
