give away free items in your fortnite v-bucks shop. every single day. sounds like losing money. it's not. and roblox games making millions per month from their shops know why. they give you a free item every time you check the shop. how is that profitable? because now that player opens the shop every single day. not to buy. to claim their freebie. but while they're in there, they SEE everything else. every day. and one day they buy. the free item gets them through the door. your offers sell themselves once they're inside. add a daily free reward that requires opening your shop. a free spin. a free item. anything. you're not losing money, you're buying attention. and attention inside your shop is the most valuable thing in your map. Hello @Flak Maps only appear on the “New” tab about 2, 3x after release, after that they stop getting any visibility and future Updates dont move in the updated tab as they should. That means updates become basically useless for creators. Examples below:

when a new player sees your fortnite map thumbnail, there's a split second calculation happening in their brain. "is this going to be fun?" most thumbnails answer that question wrong. the best thumbnails don't show the map. they show something most creators never think about... they show what the player becomes. winning. getting rich. having power. looking cool. the player looks at it and thinks "that's going to be ME if i play this." that's an emotional decision. and emotional wins every single time. your thumbnail shouldn't show what your map is. it should show what the player becomes. that one thought is the difference between a scroll and a click. @mikayfn OK, why people come back to HIVE's map? There is nothing. My map has better features but all play on HIVE's map...

the fortnite algorithm is not your enemy. the algorithm is a mirror. it shows you exactly what's wrong. low CTR? your thumbnail sucks. players leaving? your first 5 minutes sucks. low retention? there's no reason to come back. it's not hiding anything from you. epic is.... literally telling you what to fix. most creators blame the algorithm instead of reading what it's saying. read it. fix it. watch it reward you. @UlsanKropee Hey @UlsanKropee. Even though enforcement for 1.9.1 kicked off last week. We know there’s more work to do here, and we’ll also introduce new tooling in the coming weeks to prevent spam islands from being published in the first place.

Enforcement for Rule 1.9.1 is starting now and will be ramping up over the next few weeks. Reminder: new automated tooling is also coming to prevent spam islands from being published.
