We were once told the Bible is very clear, slavery is legitimate, leadership is male, divorce equals exclusion, the earth is only 6,000 years old etc. Now those immature & abusive readings of the Bible’s texts have been dumped. So why do some still use it to exclude LGBT+ people?

I had the privilege to meet the Belarusian Minister of Health Mr. Aleksandr Khodzhayev. We discussed the progress we are making through the use of the Mobile State of the Art Hospital. I also told him about the successes made by doctors trained in Belarus. He was delighted to learn that the team of doctors have visited many remote areas in Zimbabwe as part of an elaborate outreach program that aims to bring health for all especially to people living in marginalised communities. As the Health Ambassador, I took the opportunity to invite Belarus to train more doctors and consider investing in the Zimbabwean pharmaceutical sector to augument the demand for medication in Zimbabwe. Considering the central location of our nation this can benefit other SADC countries. Minister Khodzhayev was happy to provide the expertise and I assured him that when I get back home, I will relay the kind gesture so that the Ministry of Health and Child Care start working on the modalities to achieve this.

I am in Belarus with a delegation of women in business selected from the country's provinces representing various sectors on the invitation by Government and Belarusian Women in Business. In Belarus women are significant players in the economy, representing 85% of the workforce in factories. The delegation has already started having fruitful engagements and unlocking potential business partnerships. I have a deep passion to see women realising their full potential.
