@minchoi @grok I had the same response when I tried ChatGPT, I then asked, So how do I wash my car? The next response was interesting: Good question 😄 — here’s the simple, practical way to do it. Since the car wash is 50 meters away, you normally walk there first, then:

Elon Musk's answer to the question of why he continues to work for the benefit of humanity, being such a rich man: “Certainly there are times when I have doubts about these things... It's a good question because it goes at a foundational level: what is my philosophy, and why does it lead to this conclusion? So the reason is that when I was a teenager, I had, like, an existential crisis to try to figure out what's the meaning of life. There doesn't seem to be any meaning. For me, at least the religious texts, and I read all of them that I could get my hands on, did not seem convincing. Then I started reading the philosophers. Be careful of reading German philosophers as a teenager. It's definitely not going to help with your depression. So, reading Schopenhauer, Nietzsche as an adult, it's much more manageable. But as a kid, you're like, 'Whoa.' So then I was like, 'Man, I'm just struggling to find meaning in life here.' And then I read Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. And basically what Douglas Adams was saying is that we don't really know what the right questions are to ask. The question is not, 'What's the meaning of life?' In The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Earth, it turns out, is a big computer, and its goal is to answer the question, 'What's the meaning of life?' And Earth comes up with the answer '42'. This is where the 42 number comes from. And 420 is just ten times 42. In that book, which is really sort of a book about, it's an existential philosophy book disguised as humor. They come to the conclusion that the real problem is trying to formulate the question. And to really have the right question, you need a much bigger computer than Earth. And so maybe one way, I think, of characterizing this would be to say, 'The universe is the answer. What is the question? Or what are the questions?' The more we can expand the scope and scale of consciousness, the better we can understand what questions to ask about the answer that is the universe. The more we can expand consciousness, become a multi-planet species, ultimately a multistellar species… we have a chance of figuring out what the hell is going on. And so this is why I think we should have more humans and both biological and digital consciousness. And why we should become a multi-planet species and a multistellar species is so that we can understand the nature of the universe. And then, in order for that to occur, then we have to make sure that things are good on Earth. We don't want Earth to disappear, so sustainable energy is important.”

This is such a huge milestone! Bravo @SpaceX you freaking champions! Forward flap's were beautiful. Apart from a pop around the aft causing some burn on the aft, this has been absolutely incredible!🤯

Today marks 10 years of building rockets at SpaceX for me! 🍀🚀 10 years ago i would have never believed anyone that said by 2025 i would have helped build over 500 vehicles, be a part of bringing rocket reusability to reality, and send humans to space to do some of the most historic missions the world has seen 🤯 i will forever be grateful for the lessons ive learned, people ive learned from and positive change that we as a team have contributed to the universe. I am so proud of this team and everything that we do to reach higher heights in order to life here on Earth, and beyond. 🙏🏽👩🏽‍🚀🚀

@AnhDoahme @adcock_brett I have been watching both Figure and Optimus with keen interest. But now I honestly think Optimus will feel some backlash like Tesla is. Figure for the win.

3 interesting updates: 1/ Recently, I saw a demo in our lab that could 2x the speed of this use case below. Speed is the last item to solve in the engineering design process - it’ll get much faster 2/ Deformable bags, like the ones shown here, have historically been almost intractable for robots. Writing code to handle moving objects is too complex, making it an ideal problem for a neural networks to learn 3/ Two new robots out of the 4 below, never exposed to this use case before, were loaded with the neural network weights prior to recording this video. Felt like getting uploaded to the Matrix!

We’re preparing to ship thousands of humanoid robots Here, we are showing 4x humanoid robots, each powered by its own Helix neural network

@RestIsFootball @GaryLineker @alanshearer @MicahRichards Hi team, great podcast. A question for you. Thinking about Salah,Trent and Van Dijk's contracts expiring at the end of the season. You have to let one go for free, keep one until the end of the season and keep the other one until the end of their career. Let the discussion begin.

I am honored to receive President Trump’s @realDonaldTrump nomination to serve as the next Administrator of NASA. Having been fortunate to see our amazing planet from space, I am passionate about America leading the most incredible adventure in human history. On my last mission to space, my crew and I traveled farther from Earth than anyone in over half a century. I can confidently say this second space age has only just begun. Space holds unparalleled potential for breakthroughs in manufacturing, biotechnology, mining, and perhaps even pathways to new sources of energy. There will inevitably be a thriving space economy—one that will create opportunities for countless people to live and work in space. At NASA, we will passionately pursue these possibilities and usher in an era where humanity becomes a true spacefaring civilization. I was born after the Moon landings; my children were born after the final space shuttle launch. With the support of President Trump, I can promise you this: We will never again lose our ability to journey to the stars and never settle for second place. We will inspire children, yours and mine, to look up and dream of what is possible. Americans will walk on the Moon and Mars and in doing so, we will make life better here on Earth. It is the honor of a lifetime to serve in this role and to work alongside NASA’s extraordinary team to realize our shared dreams of exploration and discovery. Grateful to serve, Jared

I’m not a creationist, but I believe in a higher power. I believe in the Big Bang, but I believe that the hot dense ball that was smaller than an atom, was actually our Higher Power. I believe that God is the Universe. I don’t believe in a specific God and I don’t believe in organized religion as a whole, however, there is too much beauty in this world for all of it to have just been formed by chance. The mountains, waterfalls, colorful trees, the oceans, the lakes, the rivers, the beautiful animals, the canyons, the geysers, the volcanoes, etc… Nature is too beautiful and too unique to be an accident. I believe the hot dense ball that exploded and expanded, and continues to expand, is God. And I believe that the Universe (God) had a plan to create life. Nothing more, nothing less. I don’t believe our fates are predetermined. I believe the universe is constantly in motion.

@Aetrix27 @100Ben001 @LASHYBILLS @AMAZlNGNATURE Without being offensive, I was brought up to be a creationist but in adult life I started asking more questions. The main question that remained unanswered was, who created the creator? I am now an atheist and believe in myself.

I would design it like a jacket. after each flight just take the used one off for refurbishment and clasp the new one on. Might be able to make the switch in the same amount of time it takes to fuel it, and if the shield is facing away from the tower it can be loaded while it's on the stand. Sure it might be a bit heavier, but it would probably be much faster. Basically puts all your heat tile work on the ground instead of the ship.

What about it!?@FelixSchlang·
This is bigger than you might think! SpaceX brings the idea of alternative cooling ideas back to the table! Very much looking forward to this! The edges of the shield could be improved with this. In theory the entire shield could be replaced. Are heat tiles the right choice? What do you think? How would you improve SpaceX’s Starship heat shield?

@Geisterjger4 Metallic shielding, supplemented by ullage gas or liquid film-cooling is back on the table as a possibility
