Interesting Facts About Narendra Modi and His Degree 1. Modi appears to have *two birthdays*: The first is August 29, 1949. The second is September 17, 1950. He possesses two Aadhaar cards—an act which constitutes a crime. Modi claims to have sold tea at the Vadnagar railway station at the age of six. However, the Vadnagar railway station was constructed in 1973—at which point Modi was 23 years old. Modi was married at the age of 18. Two years later, he left his wife and home. So, when and where exactly did he sell tea? 2. In the affidavits filed prior to 2014, Modi declared himself to be "unmarried." In the affidavits filed after 2014, he declared himself to be "married"! Modi left home at the age of 20. However, his brother, Prahlad Modi, states that Modi *fled the house after stealing jewelry* a shock that allegedly led to their father's death. An FIR regarding this incident was reportedly lodged at the Vadnagar police station! 3. Modi left home at the age of 20 and, at the age of 35, reportedly lived as a mendicant (begging for alms) (for which there is no evidence). During the Emergency era when Modi was *underground* he somehow managed to obtain a bachelor's degree from Delhi University in 1978. Perhaps Delhi University maintained an "underground examination center" located in Gujarat? Furthermore, without possessing a graduation certificate, Modi reportedly obtained a Master's degree in *Entire Political Science* from Gujarat University in 1983? 5. # In the entire world, Modi is the *only* person to have obtained a degree in "Entire Political Science"; even the professors at Gujarat University heard of this subject for the very first time only after 2014. Modi enrolled alone, and he took the exams alone. He received the degree all by himself; to this day, no teacher or fellow student has ever been found who either taught Modi or studied alongside him. 6. Both before and for 10 years after Modi was awarded his degree, the hapless university staff continued to hand write degrees manually; Modi's *alone* was the only degree that was computer generated. The specific *font* that Microsoft developed in 1992 had already been utilized in Modi's degree back in 1983. The date inscribed on Modi's degree also happens to fall on a *Sunday*. 7. This is Modi's history a history for which all the evidence exists. It is not *we* who are making these claims; rather, he himself recounts all these details to the public with great fervor during his speeches! As for the rest the rhetoric, the anecdotes, the promises, and the theatrics they are all laid out right before your eyes in the present day! Every word Modi speaks, every promise he makes all remain unfulfilled... The only thing he delivers in its absolute entirety... is a lie.

*STATEMENT* As per reports, the Hon’ble Delhi High Court today has issued notice to me in a plea seeking initiation of criminal contempt proceedings over one of my reports concerning the appearance of conflict of interest and reasonable apprehension of bias in Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma hearing the CBI appeal in the Delhi Excise Policy case. The petitioner alleges that my report contains “serious, unfounded and scandalous allegations” against Justice Sharma. I stand firmly by my reporting. The report was based entirely on documentary material: RTI data furnished by the Ministry of Law & Justice, the judge’s own judicial orders in Criminal Revision Petitions, publicly available records, and statements made by a sitting Hon’ble Judge of the Supreme Court himself. Not a single fact reported by me has been rebutted either by the judge concerned or by the CBI in any of the proceedings, including the suo-motu contempt proceedings. In that backdrop, an unattached third party has now come into the picture. That said, since the matter now directly concerns me and is sub-judice, it will not be appropriate to comment further on the merits at this stage. I shall place my response before the Court after consulting distinguished members of the Bar, eminent legal luminaries, and respected members of the fraternity. The constitutional guarantee of free speech includes the right, not just of journalists, but of every citizen, to fairly scrutinise and critique judicial functioning and administrative decisions that have a bearing on public confidence in the institution. The faith in the institution can never be strengthened through opacity or the chilling of public scrutiny. Journalism that seeks to uncover these uncomfortable facts in the largest of public interests is part of the constitutional duty of the fourth pillar.
