@NolanAnalyst I always thought there was a certain harshness to digital, though I couldn't really explain it. That's one of the problems with a lot of modern low budget movies. When digital is done cheaply, it looks so bad. Flaws in things like lighting really show.

@fandompulse I read a couple of them. They might want to find a way to add a few more action scenes, make it a little more visually exciting. I still would like those elaborate action scenes we traditionally get in a Bond movie.

Film discourse like this is never healthy. But personally for me, Spielberg is far ahead of Nolan or Villeneuve. Spielberg has been in his prime from his first ever movie. Spielberg made an entire generation of filmmakers (and kids) to dream big. I can't say the same for the other two. I can't see any other filmmaker making 'Jaws', 'Close Encounters', 'Duel', 'Jurassic Park', etc. perfectly as Spielberg did.
