I watched Amad get benched for Antony, and people said the exact same thing. Sometimes, a manager doesn’t gel with a player. This can be due to stylistic reasons; personal reasons; executional reasons; or quality reasons. Reducing squad selection down to “doesn’t deserve it” is reductive as fuck on its best day, and presuming infallibility on behalf of the manager is equally unhelpful. If you want to assert reasons for Mainoo not starting, there are plenty that can operate within a semi-cogent argument. However, if one is citing quality or work ethic (the two paramount issues in whether one is “deserving”), they probably shouldn’t be taken too seriously. He’s our second-best midfielder today. And he’s only second-best because the other guy is a fucking freak of nature.

@jamie_ward84 @AshBoio There is no anti-united formation because there is pro-united formation either. The last formation which worked for us was a 442 in 2013 which has since been phased out by modern managers. We have lacked identity for 12 years and 3421 could be it.

@YanitedCynical Amorim didn't want to join United mid season. The board forced him to. How dumb do you think agents to Amorim would be to not negotiate a hefty sack fee in his contract. He wanted to only join in the summer and would expect at least time until Christmas before he is judged.

Amorim should’ve been sacked after the UEL final, just like Ten Hag should’ve been after the FA Cup. INEOS didn’t learn from their mistake and now look at us. Spurs WON the trophy and still SACK their manager 😂😂

@eternal_moi United weren't good in final 3rd. Built up was mostly excellent. Definitive patterns of play, solid defensively apart from the goal. We can only expect the final 3rd to get better considering we played 3 new signings and a out of position false 9 in our front 3.

@official_vyk @MarcusKnowsBall Baleba is not coming this summer at least. We are definitely working a deal for a midfielder else we wouldn't loan Collyer but its not looking like Baleba at the moment. I don't really know who the alternative could be.

@__Manveer If we are blaming the manager after this performance then God help us. It was the same with Ole. That 2nd half (Till Maguire's red) Watford performance did not warrant a sacking and neither does this reflect on Amorim. Players need to take accountability and in this case step up.
