@morjooberson @MajesticPLion @savvypleb Literally for everyone if you’re lifting hard. An obese person isn’t sprinting for cardio. The average calorie burn per hour for both is 200-500 calories depending on intensity. At the end of the day if you’re trying to lose weight and be in a deficit lift

@morjooberson @MajesticPLion @savvypleb Because lifting weights burns more calories than cardio and builds muscle which is necessary for metabolism and fat loss. Any overweight person would see significantly faster results with weightlifting. And I know this by PERSONAL and PROFESSIONAL experience

@RachHS @MajesticPLion @savvypleb How could you possibly argue that, out of the the two options, cardio is not the most optimal form of activity for increasing daily caloric expenditure? Obviously resistance training will build muscle and raise TDEE, but we're comparing apples to oranges

@savvypleb This is actually moreso because fat people need to lose weight therefore cardio is the way to go and fit people want to maintain so resistance is the way. Ideally everyone does both.

My daughter has a severe dog allergy, which has meant no dog for our family, even though we all desperately want one. Our neighbor mentioned her Wirehaired Pointing Griffon was good for allergy sufferers. My daughter spent 2 hours with the dog & had NO reaction! A small miracle!
