Instead, from the age of 8, she was repeatedly raped by her uncle Andrew Ogbuja (a lecturer) and his son Victor Ogbuja. The years of abuse destroyed her body, leaving her with vesicovaginal fistula (VVF). She suffered in silence, smiled through the pain, and eventually died in October 2018. Andrew was acquitted by the court in 2022. Victor remains a fugitive walking free, with no sustained manhunt, no fresh wanted notice, and no real pressure from the authorities even years later. The continued silence from @BenuePoliceNG, @benuestategovt, and @PoliceNG is complicity that protects the guilty while Nigerian girls keep paying with their lives.
