@emmabpass Or, people could just do the trainings before the deadline, like they’re supposed to. We had to do mandated reporter, blood born pathogens, and pest management. 🤷🏽‍♀️

My whole school district received this email about completing our online Vector trainings (blood born pathogens etc). Staff who haven’t completed them by the 23rd will be placed on unpaid leave. I’m curious how leaders and administrators feel about this strategy. 🧐#EDULeaderChat

@MsKocalisSDHS @edtechmathteach I think that’s why they only accept a certain number of years. Districts work together to trap us. Creates less competition and need to raise pay.

@edtechmathteach Absolutely. I am a single mom and homeowner in SoCal going into my 22nd year with a Masters, and while being at the top of my salary schedule should feel great, it actually kind of makes me feel trapped (and sometimes I feel like admin/management knows it).
