E.g does Sunderland getting relegated from EPL adversely effect Newcastle? Assuming similar effects across local economy, is it wrong to cheer when your local rivals go down? I really enjoyed writing this paper with @csingletonecon and Paul Telemo. We still don't have a definitive reason why wages in this market keep increasing after productivity begins to decline.

At the WeLaR workshop on labour market supply, @RachelEScarfe (@EdinburghUni) discussed her research on the aggregate effect of casual work on labour markets. She shows that minimum wage policies play a particularly important role.
