@IKCCorg Most patients do NOT need genetic testing. The fact that nearly 40 percent of pts believe they have risk factors warranting testing is more likely an education failure - rather than a failure on the part of providers to offer testing.

Up to 16% of kidney cancers are hereditary and patients are at risk of developing other cancers. Yet, the 2022 Global Patient Survey found only 1/2 of people who have risk factors for hereditary kidney cancer were offered genetic testing. (1/2)
