To add to OP's point here, and a huge problem is that when we say this, all the new folks in power go "oh you want charmed again? you want buffy again? gossip girl again?" and they give us 10 episode modern reboots of THOSE SHOWS. Which is not, in fact, what the ask is.

It is an absolute shame that The CW doesn't really exist anymore. The youth deserve 22 episode seasons of shows like Buffy, Smallville, The Vampire Diaries, Veronica Mars, Gossip Girl, Dawson's Creek, etc. They were foundational. They were vital.

@qikipedia I'm sure I heard a stat not to long ago about how the majority of women bitten by snakes are on the foot and ankle. While the majority of men are on the hands and arms. Say's everything, imo.
