Dr Middleton explains that she tells her patients that there are no hard & fast rules; more about guidance about lower risk Vs higher risk activities. Make decisions based on your mental & physical wellbeing - important you make choices that are right for you #CovidQuestionTime

Good to see the impact of the #CostOfLivingCrisis on dialysis patients raised at #PMQs today. Additional financial support is needed to help people who use life-saving equipment at home #KidneyDisease

Today, @Keir_Starmer highlighted an important issue at #PMQs: the worsening #costoflivingcrisis, which has made it difficult for patients on #homedialysis to pay their bills. The gov't has been asked for immediate support to help keep life-saving #dialysis machines running.

We are delighted to announce that the recommendations from our #BridgingtheGap report to improve patient choice and equal access to #homedialysis will be discussed in a #WestminsterHall debate tomorrow, led by @JimShannonMP. Watch live tomorrow at 15:00: bit.ly/3wH45ia

In the UK, the percentage of #dialysis patients receiving home therapies has increased from 3.4% in 2011 to only 7% in 2022. I will call on @NHSuk + @DHSCgovuk to ensure the target of 20% of patients dialysing at home is not missed, and patients get equal choice about their care.
