@MartinSLewis @bbc5live I flew on my own with Japan airlines from Sydney to London last minute a few years ago during the SARS outbreak (it had been recommended not to go via my original route) I was upgraded from economy (didn’t ask) on both legs of the journey . It was the BEST flight ever!
