@LCHeathcote Basically! A small group of up to 8. Spend the first 5-10 minutes sharing goals, and the last 5-10 reporting back progress. The middle 50 focused writing ✍️. It’s a nice way to (briefly) connect, support, and learn what your friends/colleagues are working on 😊

@RachelVAaron 🌲 app - will definitely have to look that one up! Does WAGging involve Zoom-based silent writing groups??

Since #covid19, I've found small tasks (Zoom calls, edits on collaborative papers, etc) easy. But focused manuscript writing almost impossible. Realizing this is b/c writing is an #isolated activity & amplifies feeling of #covid19 #isolation. Is anyone else having this issue?

@LCHeathcote Definitely! My dept set up weekly Writing Accountability Groups which has been helpful (and social!; wanna WAG sometime?!). And using the "forest" app to set timers and keep me off other apps. Have been setting realistic goals for "focused hours" each day <3 <3

I request that students call me Dr. Cox not because I have an ego, but because there is often an assumption that I'm not Dr. Cox while others are Dr. ______. When it is assumed that #WOC are doctors more than it is assumed they are "Mrs.," students may call me Monica. #lesson
