@BirgitC While I was never taught advanced maths, I was definitely taught this level and the answer would unquestionably have been 44. Why on earth would you start halfway through and go back on yourself? 🤷‍♀️

@Rachel__WD @legaltechIRL @Ahlesaadat @alexgsmith But some people have been talking about NFTs relating to museum collections without permission of museum and even when these are out of copyright!? What would be unique here - I can get tea towel with some of these images, Google the images, print off copy for free etc....

@legaltechIRL How is this anymore limiting then buying traditional art? When you buy a painting you don’t generally get the copyright in the painting too. Genuinely curious if this is different.

@EsmeBanksMarr @_sim2011 I don’t know - I’m totally fed up working from home. Keen to get back for at least few days a week. Flexibility will continue but I reckon lot of people are missing human interaction that comes with being in an office

@hsmall All very true! At this point in time though, while we are glued to home desks, I should like to point out that yoga, while not curing cancer, can help keep you from staying folded up like a rusty old picnic table after months in the garage. 😃

@sumolaw Gorgeous! But then he would be in any size or level of scruffiness. Mine deny me the fun of haircuts, being shorthaired.

Goodness they can’t win. Last time they lost the whip for rejecting the deal which the government wanted them to sign. It signed it and now wants to renege and they lose whip if they vote against rejecting the deal.
Tom Newton Dunn@tnewtondunn

Active consideration is being given by No10 to removing the whip from Tory MPs who rebel on the Internal Markets Bill - including Geoffrey Cox, who says he will abstain at 2nd reading at 10pm tonight. A Senior Govt source: ‘All options are on the table’.

@ip_leyland @BarristerSecret A fight breaks out outside a nightclub as you're leaving, you step away from the door and the bouncers responding, but collide with a police officer who falls over backwards hitting their head on a kerb breaking their neck and they die.

@BarristerSecret That would be hugely disproportionate, but my understanding is the campaign wants a possible starting point to be whole life for anyone of the age of criminal responsibility, to be applied to manslaugher only in extreme circumstances. Is that not workable (genuine question)?

It means that somebody who throws a single punch, not intending to cause injury but resulting in a police officer banging his head and dying (manslaughter), would get a whole life order, whereas someone who intentionally stabs a victim to death gets a minimum term of 25 years.

@Roblev0 @BO3673 @wastefighter @westrowhendo @BarristerSecret That may be and I’m not usually a fire and brimstone person. But I’ve followed this case closely and do feel in this instance justice was not done. Life would have been appropriate. 10-16 years away is highly unlikely to instill a basic regard for human life.

@Roblev0 @BO3673 @wastefighter @westrowhendo @BarristerSecret Agree that that’s a bad starting point. Perhaps a better one is that it is a travesty of justice that our sentencing guidelines don’t allow for stiffer sentences in extreme cases like this where there was clear premeditated intent to do something so extremely dangerous and... 1/2
