If you're a boomer in your 60s and 70s and you own property and are well off but your children are struggling and can't even buy a home, what the hell are you doin? Your time is over. It's their time. Help them. Be a good parent, do whatever it is you need to do... sell the house if you need to, give them some kickbacks to help buy their first home, etc. Life is short. Be a good parent and don't squat on stuff that doesn't matter. Give them their time.

@rayengroves Toddlers are either predisposed to having tantrums or not, it’s nothing the parents do or don’t do. It’s like the naturally good sleepers vs the ones who have high sleep needs

Best natural mood stabilizers for postpartum depression/anxiety/rage? I’ve noticed I’m already kind of a nervous wreck and emotional so I’m assuming it’s going to carry over to postpartum. Any advice or suggestions are appreciated.

@SassySouthBlond If you can teach them reading and writing you might as well keep going with homeschooling. But teachers will argue only they are adept enough to teach reading writing and math to children and dont want parents teaching bc obvs theyre stupid and uneducated

By the time your kid reaches kindergarten they should be proficient in being able to read and write. You should be reading everyday with your kid through elementary education not leaving it up to the school system. I thought this was basic stuff with parenting. If your child is behind on this you have failed them as a parent.

My MIL is supposed to watch my daughter when I go into the hospital. I literally have no family that can do it. She knows she’s the one I trust that lives near us. She is already making excuses for what may happen like she can’t do it on a work day?? So I have to either go into labor now or tomorrow morning or wait till next weekend as if that’s how it works. Mind you she’s literally taken the day off to drive 45-1 hr away to watch my husbands brother’s kids for a day…

Yet human embryos, which are already distinct human organisms after fertilization, can still be frozen indefinitely, discarded, or destroyed with little legal protection in the United States. And no, embryos are not “just eggs.” An embryo is a new human organism formed after fertilization. I know because I was once one of those frozen embryos.
