Three years ago we experienced a devastating house fire. The blaze was too ferocious to ascertain a cause but it was probably an electrical fault. Please remember to check your smoke alarms regularly, plan your escape route and bin anything electrical that is not perfect.

Daughter climbing a huge ancient willow tree earlier👇🏼. Her: ‘This could be our tree’ Me: ‘I think it already is.’ We took a blanket & sat in our willow nest till an hour after sunset, ate chocolate in its branches and made eachother wreath bracelets from two of its slenderest twigs. 🌿

I had never heard of the existence of the board game Othello until this week's #UniversityChallenge. Anyone played it before?

For much of this year my depression has burgled all motivation, joy & even the creative parts of myself. I’m trying a new way of thinking-that I have inherent value even if I’m too unwell to earn/work much. I’ve made this photo to show I’m still here, even if I’m in tiny bits: old marbles, Roman beads, a tiny 17th C fox mount, 1930s toy flowers, a medieval casket key. Making this helped my brain, looking at the details might help yours…

Theodora Noyes (1864-1960) Almost forgotten English painter I can’t find much by her at all Wiltshire was her home and she was the last one of 12 children. Dad was a solicitor. loved the movement in this one and hope I can find more work to post so she doesn’t get forgotten

It’s incredibly rare I buy new clothes, especially when they’re this expensive (even in their sale) but I’m still going through a lot with my health etc so I decided to dip into my savings for a treat 💖🥳

Am I the only who finds this Gene Hackman story rather distressing? How wife was dead a week ahead of him. He was 95 with Alzheimer's. Was there no one going in to make daily checks on this couple? Family, kids, a cleaner or housekeeper? How can this have happened?
