2/2 Discussions focused on the National Agriculture Insurance Scheme (NAIS) from implementation and distribution channels to awareness, enrollment, and product design (with a spotlight on the tea product) as well as achievements under the @ilo –AFD financed project. 🌍

1/2 Today our CEO, @OTuhairwe, together with her team from @RadiantYacu , met with experts from Expertise France / AFD Group, who are in Rwanda for the Global Shield Launch.

3/3 Their primary goal is to gain practical, actionable insights from Radiant yacu ’s model, particularly regarding distribution model, underwriting, claims, co-insurance, public-private partnerships, and financial inclusion.

1/2 Today, @RadiantYacu is hosting a diverse delegation from Ethiopia, representing key sectors including the Ethiopia central bank, Ministry of agriculture, Ministry of finance, 3 Insurance Companies and Private Sector Federation.

2/2 The purpose of their visit is to learn from Rwanda’s experience with agricultural insurance focusing on its objectives, structure, and implementation.

2/2 The delegation also attended an event highlighting CORICA, a Rice cooperative, where they witnessed the claim compensation of FRW22,727,875 by @RadiantYacu and the signing of a 200-hectare agreement set for implementation in Season A of 2025 - 2026.
