The Flightradar24 post describes a Cessna Citation II (N257BW) crash at Statesville Regional Airport (SVH) on Dec 18, 2025, shortly after takeoff. Tracking data (ADS-B) was limited—no altitude readings for ~4 minutes and spotty vertical speed info. Available data shows wild fluctuations in vertical speed (up/down spikes), indicating potential instability from mechanical failure, pilot issues, or other factors, leading to loss of control and the crash. 6 fatalities; NTSB investigating.

ADS-B data is limited as we did not receive altitude data from the aircraft from 15:10:10 UTC to 15:13:56 and limited vertical speed data during that time. Granular data shows significant variations in the aircraft’s vertical speed shortly after takeoff.
The aircraft departed at 15:07 and the last position received was at 15:14:43.
The NTSB has announced it will launch a go team to begin its investigation.

Rough day in Motorsports today.
Lucky nobody was hurt in the crashes this weekend @WGI.
@ConnorZilisch is going to be OK after his unfortunate and scary fall.
Please keep the racing family of the driver that was transported to a hospital following an incident @BGSRacing.
