For those following the @raggedtalks handle, access to the account has been lost. As there's no interest to re-invest the several years work gone into @raggedtalks, this may be the last Tweet before abandoning the Twitter platform to focus on the website. Thanks for your support

@Raggeduni @GPS_UL There are established routes for the accreditation of prior knowledge, assuming it is at #highered level. “Skills” are a different matter. Universities cannot afford to embark on low-rigour recognition mechanisms, or routes that risk trivialising a complex, interconnected process

Following negative experiences with #badges over a decade ago, similar doubts emerge about #microcredentials in universities. "Credence" means belief in or acceptance of something as true. Can holders of these things be "credible"? Is that really #HigherEd? #ULTHE @GPS_UL

Keeping my fingers crossed that the change in management of Twitter does not overcommercialise the platform or go the way of Facebook in problematic ethics of information brokering. In some ways preparing to withdraw from the social media platform if it significantly deteriorates

@speedina Ive been making notes on learning and the production of artifacts of learning for some time. I would be interested to hear your thoughts on the matter as an artist. Much in Ragged Uni project has been developed by artists, e.g. Ragged Music by Dan Zambas, Gary Boast, etc.

Discussion continues about knowledge v skills, what v how, wisdom v action, education v training - even cognition v meta-cognition. The challenge in #highered is to deploy mutually reinforcing systems that marry these up and remove the “v” from the above. #ULTHE @GPS_UL
