I watched 'The Odyssey' in the cinema this morning. 9am IMAX showing, like a weirdo.
It was alright... Not incredibly amazing as some people are saying and not terrible or annoyingly 'woke' as others have suggested.
Great cinematography with some standout scenes, but some weird dialogue and casting decisions. And I didn't find myself caring about any of the characters all that much.
It was pretty good. Not a must watch but not bad. I was entertained.

It was a little woke.
Pronouns crap. Asking-consent awkwardness in obviously fine situations. Unnecessary ‘Feelings are important’ conversations and ‘Let’s talk it out’ dialogue with a genocidal maniac. And, worst of all, overt HR representation.
Dragged it down from a solid 8/10 to a one and done 6/10 imo.

I’m not sure I understand that. Is there a minimum number of units one needs to move to no longer be considered “larping”?

Almost all "authors" and "writing community" are hobbyists larping like they're having a career.
This isn't different just because a publishing company publishes them. In fact, the metrics might even be worse.

Because I’m a Christian, and I believe they are, too. They are sinful, as are we all, and I pray that their sin is revealed to them.
In this, I have nothing to repent from.
I continue to pray for wisdom and discernment, as well as the discretion to not judge others based solely on a 280 character post.
