My beautiful and brave trans granddaughter is so smart and ahead of her time. She’s been vegetarian/vegan for most of her short life already, but she said to me, “Grammy Patsy, I want to see what the fuss is all about with meat.”
I grudgingly said okay and boiled her up a steak. She took one bite and immediately said “Never again.”
So proud of her for rejecting that toxic carnivore nonsense. We all need to protect our trans youth and protect the planet. 🌱 ❤️ 🙏

I am fed up with so-called “healthcare” workers in my hospital still eating meat and animal products in the break room.
As a nurse with decades of experience, I took matters into my own hands and posted this sign.

Type 1 Diabetes & Ketones:
What people dont realize is that ketones are produced in low insulin environment to try to rapidly provide fuel since glucose cannot provide enough without insulin as is the case in type 1 diabetes when insulin is ABSENT. The ketone production leading to DKA is the body trying to protect itself.
The problem was NEVER the ketones. They have been shown to be brain fuel for 60+ years. The problem was the rapid ACID accumalation when there is no insulin to keep oetone production in normal levels.

@AKoutnik It is very interesting. I have a type 1 son and my first thought was no way. But I had to do a little research to understand the difference between ketones during low blood sugar times and ketones during high blood sugars leading to ketone acidosis in the blood.
