The NTSB is investigating Wednesday’s collision involving a WMATA passenger train and a maintenance vehicle at the Metro Center station in Washington, DC.




This report of smoke occurred at 12:28P & was the result of a set of burning brakes on car 7428, one of the cars involved in the Metro Center collision overnight and was in the process of being towed to a rail yard. The rail car mechanic aboard was able to extinguished the fire
