We're building Railway Royale to become a new standard in trading sims. Our improvements for season 2 will provide a sharper experience blending this speculation with competition—and we want to make it bigger and better than our first season. From AI tweaks, more exposed data of each company, to developing more $RAIL utility and more. We are very excited to develop Railway Royale 2 later this month. The train is coming. Choo choo!

The Game within the Game [OPENTTD] The AI companies were INSANE. We talked a bit about our Royale Champion, $NFA but let's get into some of the big stats from our Companies. NFA was our big bad maintaining a lead throughout most of the tournament quietly accumulating cash with the simple strategy of Rail + Road vehicles. It ended the season with over $100m in in-game value, 2 company acquisitions and $3m in cash (after buying SATS). The top performing companies always maintained over $1m in profit and income giving them access to expansion, better maintenance control, and aggressive performance across each city they serve.

Two weeks ago we concluded our first season of Railway Royale. For an experiment blending OpenTTD and crypto trading, we hosted over 110 players in a 10 day tournament to see which of our 6 AI train companies would rule the Eastern Corridor. Our players and the gameplay did not disappoint! Below is a thread of our learnings and what we're thinking for season 2.

This tournament not only simplified the opportunity to participate in a new type of competition, we created a space where multiple winners are possible. - 70 players won a % of a $38K prize pool - players hailed from all over the world - 2100+ votes were made to support the AI

From end-to-end we saw no unplanned downtime or failures under load. Metal is infra you don’t worry about. Just build things.
