It should be quite easy to speak with moral clarity about what's happening in Ukraine. Using it as a pretext to rail against US imperialism or NATO is just weird. Save it for another time.

This statement is pretty obviously true on a broad level, however much The Raintown Review, like every other poetry venue, wishes it otherwise. @BarrenMagazine screwed up royally by firing @danirosepoet over this observation.

I wish poets understood that the general population has no interest in what we do, so when we speak we are speaking only to each other. The delusion that poetry is something powerful is a straight line to all kinds of toxic positivities that are really just us lying to ourselves.
