A case of florid ALECT2 type amyloidosis. This is a Hispanic patient who had not seen a physician in several years. Leukocyte chemotactic factor 2 type amyloidosis (ALECT2) is a form of amyloid of unknown etiology. This disease most commonly affects Hispanic patients in the United States and presents with slowly progressive renal failure.
