Hughie’s nice-guy dad becomes a zombie, Hughie has to kill him. Translucent is murdered by Hughie, leaving Translucent Jr. an orphan. Soldier Boy’s dad emotionally abused and rejected him as a failure. Soldier Boy in turn berates and rejects his own son, Homelander. Homelander beats his own son to a bloody pulp. Mother’s Milk’s dad is not in the picture because he worked himself to death fighting Vought. Starlight’s father ditched her to raise another family. And Frenchie’s bipolar dad kidnapped & abused him (cigarette burns, broken glass, tried to smother him). You get the picture: 5 seasons of demonizing the FATHER FIGURE is NO ACCIDENT. This is THE MESSAGE rearing its ugly head again. Once you see it, you can't UNSEE IT.
