I have been in many elementary classrooms wherein the students hear the Kahoot theme song and absolutely loose their minds. Gamification gets kids excited about learning and this is so important with the direction education is going today.

@Ststansberry @doctor2pi @Duncannedd @BarnellNicole @tom_karnes I plan to teach kindergarten so I can integrate technology by using ABC mouse, YouTube , PBS KIDS or Kahoot for educational games or simple tools for interactive lessons. The math strategies are very beneficial as well because they provide you with summarize data to gauge your students learning.

A lot of art is being digitally produced through AI systems and educating students on how to ethically use tech is important.

Libraries are essential to the success of society. Historically, libraries have served as the foundation of advancement of culture and society.

@tom_karnes @doctor2pi A3) Building more public libraries with public computers and Wi-Fi can ensure technology access to all members of a community. A foreseeable challenge is not having enough available computers for everyone to use, but time limits may help. #CSUBTED #EDTE4200 @doctor2pi

A lot of support came about for families who could not afford WiFi. It is my personal beliefs that WiFi access in today’s age is a vital necessity to stay connected with work, news. Etc.

However, it was such a sudden change that a lot of people were unfamiliar with all this tech. Workshops would have been helpful #EDTE4200 #csubted @doctor2pi

@xojessieeex @tom_karnes @doctor2pi I agree that libraries should have more updated technology for the general public to use. Most schools are now 1:1 with chromebooks and I feel this has expedited the learning process for students in tech. and stem fields.

@mslopez99 @doctor2pi Duolingo is great! I see so many people learning new languages through their software. Adults and children could benefit from using Duolingo in our daily lives.

@doctor2pi A2) A program that I have seen students use in the classroom is Duolingo. This allows students to have extra practice on their own improving their skills while also getting the support they need from the programs the schools provide. #CSUBEDTE4200 #CSUBTED @doctor2pi

@ms_mendozac @doctor2pi I love the idea of using YouTube for ELL assistive communication. YouTube does have the ability to translate subtitles if needed. This would work well for students who understand written but not verbal English.

@doctor2pi A program that I have learned will benefit EL's is Youtube. Students can watch videos in english to improve their listening and speaking skills. It can also be used to translate video lessons so they can follow along with the class. #EDTE4200 #CSUBTED @doctor2pi

@doctor2pi A software program I have used in my professional life that can assist in ELL growth and progres is Lexia. Lexia provides English learning starategies with gamification. #CSUBTED #CSUBEDTE4200 @Duncannedd
