If Dayton is the "measuring stick", then VCU is a whole freaking tape measure NCAA Tournaments past 9 seasons: VCU - 5 Dayton - 2 (including 2020 covid) Plus Flyers have only finished above the Rams in the A10 standings TWICE in that span

You can’t separate it. This is Dayton bias. Dayton doesn’t even have a A10 tourney championship in forever. You can’t be the measuring sticks living off a few regular season titles.

Gerrymandering is wrong and Trump never should have started this fight, but MAGA was going to get crushed in the midterms no matter what happened in VA today, so the only real loser I see tonight is local representation and local access to constituent services for all Virginians

@bruce8500 @CT4112655822024 @SSN_Jays VCU had a sell out streak of over 10 years despite numerous coaching changes until COVID. Travels very well. As others said VCU has taken over Barclays, Cap Center, etc. VCU is one of like 12 schools to have 20 win seasons like every year. Also its endowment is quite large.

What I would look for in the next commissioner: - Aggressive in expansion (grab SLU, VCU from A10 for example) - Vocal and active on promoting the league (preferably someone from the league itself) Also get a challenge going with another conference. I miss the Gavitt games.

@MichaelCal10323 @WestPineBills Fair enough. I do agree both programs could reach much higher levels if they were in the Big East. I believe SLU could get there if they can sustain momentum from last year. The big question mark is Schertz.

@RamboRowdy @WestPineBills Shawn, VCU's success vs. UD over the yrs cannot be overlooked. You got my respect! Despite that, I do believe that UD belongs in the Big East now & yes, so does VCU. You want to make argument for SLU as a 3rd team, I will go with that as well. UD & VCU are in the wrong space.

Dayton is signing guys that Marquette kicked off a terrible team. SLU is in recruiting battles with Duke. We are not the same.

@MichaelCal10323 @WestPineBills I was pretty much on your side until that post about us (VCU) not being on your level. You have never beaten us in a championship, we beat you three times this year, we have a winning record in UD arena, and we own the most A10 wins since joining the A10.

@WestPineBills Hey West Pine Bills, you guys had one good year and by UD's standards, we had an average year and still beat you 2 out of 3 times during your one super year. If SLU is in recruiting battles with Duke, that battle is a Billiken waste of time so keep doing it Josh!

@MichaelCal10323 The VCU that has the most wins in the A10 since 2013? The VCU with the most championships since 2013? The VCU that beat Dayton 3x? If you had said UD and VCU fair enough. But to suggest you are levels above us when you can’t ever beat us in a championship game is a choice.

I will accept all punches thrown my way BUT I will say it again. One team in the A10 belongs in the Big East, now! It's not VCU and its not SLU. It is the UD Flyers, Period. Should the Big East expand further, it should be VCU and SLU.

@WestPineBills Usually pretty good takes but pretending you are a lot higher level than Dayton after one great year in over a decade is a heck of a jump man. I mean it’s not like you swept the A10 championships and made some crazy run. Plus all of this hinges on Schertz who is bidding his time.
