I think there can be a healthy balance between the both! Let's be real, no one is going to just transition to a different hobby completely RIGHT away. Start off small! Even a quick 10-30 min session of a new hobby sounds fun too! It's about consistency, really. I've dabbled with art, tried playing guitar, messed around with blender, and other random shit since I'm just as bored LOL
I think being limited to FPS also plays a huge role in it, its just very draining if you don't want to be "the best" as much as others do lol. I'm personally throwing in some variety games and figuring out different stuff as I go! I really want to spend time with my friends, so I've been trying to set up viewer games by playing some party games and throwing in some occasional FPS to help the itch!
There's plenty of ways to work around it. If you want to play sometime, lmk! Just go for whatever you'd like and find out your communities on there too! The past friends you've met aren't going anywhere either :D

if I'm going to be honest its a mix of wanting to revie some older an long thought dead passions of mine.... an a mix of my mental health
Gaming is still something I love dearly but since I used it for soo long as a Escape an to hide from a bunch of issues I had once I started trying to improve myself as a person I kind of lost a lot of motivation too play them..
Like I did like music at one point I was more into fashion as examples an tried my hand music stuff a long time ago.. that was before I caught in a loop where I felt gaming was the only thing I could do to chase something I always wanted.
I don`t regret that time either because I met everyone I know now... but using it as an escape kind of tainted some of the fun I try to have with it now, because trudges up bad memories, soo I`m hoping by doing more things an branching out my passion for more things I enjoy an once enjoyed return less tainted by my own negativity an feeling of too late yk?
