Was watching Patriots-Bills SNF with friends from high school and during the game one of them blurted out “what is the percent chance that they mention Dipra on this broadcast?” Dipra was someone we went to high school with who I hadn’t thought about in years. It is an extremely uncommon name and had no connection to this game so I set it at 0% (I know you’re never supposed to do that) However, this led to a multi-hour discussion of by what year will there have been a 50% chance that the name Dipra has been said on Sunday Night Football (assuming all things stay relatively constant) We posited that it had to be in the thousands and maybe even higher than that. It’s an obscure name but there’s paths for it to happen through being a player, team doctor, announcer etc! Would love to hear some year estimations from everyone else though
