@SocialtyPro The interview kinda makes me second-guess all the advice he gives in his videos now, so it makes sense why he would delete it from a business standpoint. It’s not just purely ego, but also how it affects his perceived authority.

Alex Hormozi deleted his Tony Robbins interview off YouTube. Think about that. He sat across from the biggest name in personal development in history. The guy who's been doing this since Hormozi was in diapers. And the interview was good. It humanized him. Made him feel less like a content machine and more like a guy still figuring things out. So he deleted it. Because his ego couldn't handle looking like a student. Couldn't handle Tony being the bigger name in the room. Couldn't handle not being the smartest guy on the thumbnail. This is the disease of guys who get rich too fast. They start believing their own highlight reel. Every interview becomes a performance. Every podcast a power move. Tony didn't need that interview. Alex did. And the second it didn't make him look like the alpha, it got memory-holed. The irony? That interview made him more likeable than 100 of his own videos ever did. People don't connect with the guy who has all the answers. They connect with the guy still asking questions. Ego is the most expensive thing you'll ever own. And Alex just paid full price.

@dennisleytonb @robertoblake You are partially right as well. I'm 100% sure the AI "ask" feature under the video lowers average view duration. There are so many times where I just asked it to summarize a video and I got the same value without spending +10 minutes.

@Ramiroytoy @robertoblake You're right, I misread, I thought the summary was under the video while watching. Then yes, definitely fewer views. This will become one more factor in the CTR package to beat.

I think it does quite the opposite. It tells people what they're clicking to watch. So you'll only get viewers who are actually interested in the topics discussed, as opposed to people who will click the video and then leave after finding out they're not interested. So less quantity of views maybe, but more AVD.

@robertoblake It does the same thing as previewing videos when you hover your mouse over them. It makes sense, we make hooks and intros to convey to the audience what the video entails. The AI summary works the same as the intro, but before the click.

@michaelricks I always thought we should put dots instead of commas after making statements, but I asked chatgpt to analyze the first line of your message and it said it works too. Thanks for making me learn something new

@Ramiroytoy I had forgotten about ad blockers, thanks for the reminder, Rami. I'll start using one in order to do my part in assisting in the decline of YouTube as a platform.

The term "AI Slop" will soon lose it's meaning, because it's being misused. People are calling everything AI = low quality… even when real effort, creativity, and skill are involved. Meanwhile, the actual problem slips through: content that’s deceptive, mass-produced, and built to exploit attention. So, the question isn’t “was AI used?” It’s: Was this made with intention… or just generated?”

I was just trying to make the point that viewers should be the ones who decide what to watch based on which videos they think are better. Right now YouTube is a meritocracy, all videos are equal (in terms of AI vs Human made) So is it really YouTube’s job to artificially nerf AI assisted videos if it will lead to less meritocracy/viewer satisfaction?

These videos are exploding on Youtube this year. Very clever usage of ai. They create these Ai debates with digital models and voiceovers for various topics: Believer vs Atheist, Capitalist vs Socialist ... With ai advancing, we will see more realistic versions of these

Pay attention to what MrBeast is doing right now. 50 top streamers, $1M prize. He filmed the whole thing, released the video yesterday but then cut the ending... The finale is a livestream today Chat controls the final game. He gives $1K to a random viewer every minute, but you have to be there He just used an edited video as a trailer for a livestream. The video was the ad, the stream is the product He's my thesis in action: AI is flooding content platforms. It can generate videos, thumbnails, scripts, entire channels... But live is where trust gets built. You can't fake your way through a real-time show. There is credibility you can't manufacture in post, and AI definitely can't generate it And when chat is choosing the game and shaping the outcome, those people aren't viewers... They're a community with a shared experience Live is a moat. MrBeast is pivoting to streams because it's the only format that gets MORE valuable as AI makes everything else cheaper This is about to blow up DM me if you want to move on live before everyone else figures it out

If I could give you one success life hack. And trust me. I literally have a hyperbaric healing chamber in my house. I take life hacks seriously. If I could give you one tho. It'd be this. Grab a bunch of epic fantasy books as thick as your head. Replace all your TV and social media time reading them. Your brain will slowly start to work again. The focus from reading the thick ass wordy books will slowly put it back together. Sanderson. Abercrombie. Gaimman. Pierce Brown. Great places to start. Replacing this as your main time wasting hobby will give you absolutely crazy returns when it comes to actually making money. The focus you gain will make you lethal.
