The views that went down across YouTube in the last few months (6-8 months) were the 35% of users using Ad Blocker no longer counting as views. Also nobody brings up that this also means you don’t get affiliate revenue from the people using Ad Blocker clicking links, and unless they use a checkout code, no attribution for sponsor clicks either. Ad Block Audience is completely worthless to a creator at this point. No views, no monetization, no sponsor value. They just get free content with no value exchanged.

Most people don’t acknowledge that much of early YouTube didn’t thrive on original content creators the first few years… it was the default for watching your favorite Music Videos… Which till this day are collectively the most watched individual videos on YouTube BTW… And for YouTube’s biggest stars of the 2010s to take off and go full-time… YouTube invested $100M, a small loan of $1M each into 100 top creators to give them the ability to make TV level production and grow a sustainable business… The majority of channels didn’t break even… grokipedia.com/page/YouTube_O…

I need your attention, just once. For the sake of protecting human creators.
