Three months ago, I promised my wife, daughter and quite a few friends that Kamala Harris would be president this month. I tickled my grandson while making him say "Madam President! Madam President!" in a game to get me to stop. And now they humor me. Saying things like, "It's OK." or "You couldn't have known." And I sit here, writing on Twitter about it on a Saturday night because I know I was right then and I should be right now but instead I contemplate the last few years, and feel sorry for myself. And my friends. And my family. And for you. And the country. And it keeps going over and over and over in my head…"A republic, if you can keep it."

@RickChapterTwo I only popped onto the hellscape to send a CS tweet & had to reply. At my last psychiatrist appointment, we talked about how our next appointment was the Friday after Harris inauguration. I also told my 4 y/o niece how we'd have the 1st female president in her lifetime 😭

I can't express just how amazing the staff at @Petco grooming is! Most specifically, Aaron M & Alison P who take such good care of 15 y/o blind & mostly deaf Nutmeg. They're skills are equal parts grooming and dealing with stressed pet parents, always with kindness & smiles. ❤️
