Wyoming has a responsibility to honor those who served. I’m grateful the Wyoming Game and Fish Department heard the overwhelming response from the public and chose to protect these opportunities for our disabled veterans. Our veterans have already sacrificed enough. We should never create new barriers that keep them from the freedom, healing, and traditions found in Wyoming’s outdoors. I’m always grateful when common sense prevails, and I’ll always stand with the men and women who served our country.

Catholic Fun Fact: Francis Cardinal Arinze is a prominent Nigerian prelate of the Roman Catholic Church who served as one of the Vatican's top officials and was a close advisor to Pope John Paul II. Created a cardinal in 1985, he made history as one of the highest-ranking African prelates in Church history and was widely considered a strong candidate for the papacy during the 2005 papal conclave. Born November 1, 1932, in Eziowelle, Nigeria, to a family that practiced traditional Igbo religion,
he converted to Catholicism and was baptized at age nine by Blessed Michael Iwene Tansi, who heavily inspired his vocation. Arinze was ordained a priest in 1958. In 1965, at just 32 years old, he became the youngest Catholic bishop in the world. He attended the historic final session of the Second Vatican Council in 1965. Elevated to Archbishop of Onitsha in 1967, he led his people neutrally and courageously through the horrors of the Nigerian Civil War.
