🔴 BREAKING: #RankedChoiceVoting wins in Seattle!
Every phone call, door-knock, text, donation, and vote made a difference.
Thank you to everyone who stepped up and showed that better elections in Washington are coming – this is just the start.

@ne0liberal Should we no longer allow mailed votes postmarked on election day if they arrive late?
English
@BenChapmanMagic I was a bit surprised at the whole level of bitterness there. I guess you could be annoyed at having the RCV option added but the huge organizational and voter support shown for RCV pretty much vindicates the council's decision. In the end I'm glad they were out there for YES.

@FairVoteWA This is awesome! I was so worried on election night. Stoked that RCV in Seattle is looking more likely!

🔴 Election reform just took the lead in Seattle!
While we already know that Seattle wants #RankedChoiceVoting, the outcome on Question 1 is too close to call.
After ballots dropped today, we jumped out to a 1,797 vote lead!

English
@LewisforSeattle How much is left to count? Are we going to make it?

A steady trend developing for “yes” on Proposition 1. Cut its deficit to about 1,000 votes in today’s drop. aqua.kingcounty.gov/elections/2022…

@Beyond2Parties @loganb Or it could have done worse. I think it's pretty clear there are a lot of confounding factors as results vary wildly by city. I'm worried that this is the lesson you're trying to take away here because it's going to make you even more hostile to RCV when there is no reason to be.
English
@Beyond2Parties @loganb It's *possible*. But it's not the simplest explanation for the 3:1 ratio.
English
@Beyond2Parties @loganb I'm not surprised you were able to find some supporters who were rude. There are a lot of supporters to pick from! It's just sad to see more people sucked into negativity.
English
@Beyond2Parties @loganb RCV passed by 82% in Evanston. Also it is interesting that you are ignoring the only real-world result we have that asks voters which system they prefer.
English
@loganb @Beyond2Parties You can hold yourself to a higher standard than those people. The most negativity I have heard in this entire campaign is from you.

@RandomEngy @Beyond2Parties I’m old enough to remember when I was accuse, personally, of coming to take voting rights from people of color. It’s almost like folks waged a really negative campaign…

@BenChapmanMagic You're thinking of regular ice. Blue ice doesn't melt even when next to lava.
English

@RandomEngy It’s mostly packed ice I think. Because blue ice, while slipperier, melts in the sun and I don’t bother to cover my racetracks :)

@slightlylate (dasher.doordash.com was actually done by another team, not taking credit for that one)

@slightlylate NextJS does some cool stuff like automatic page-level bundling and routing, and seamless integration of SSR, SG, and client-side rendering. I wish it weren't tied to React though.
