@cafreiman The restaurant with the best ops I’ve ever seen in Seattle was in a trendy neighborhood. They had a crazy-good happy hour, half off almost their entire menu. It was all day Sun-Thu, then 3-5 and 9-close on Friday and Saturday. 😏

I asked the EE what his PCB Layout Requirements were, and he hands me the answers he got from Claude. Get the feeling this guy has never made out a PCB of this magnitude before. I'm not saying you shouldn't consult AI on stuff, but I have to smack it a few times when I know it's wrong about something, and that happens fairly often.

My Big Dumb Idea for fixing zoning is that we should do away with the complex population growth projections and simply require every city to have zoned capacity for 5x its current population, updated every 5 years. DC should be zoned for 1,625,000 homes.

I’m skeptical working class voters have any opinion on tech and tech bros. Look at Amazon having insane consumer support. The anti-tech slopulism is driven by an internecine grievance of educated elites getting economically outcompeted by their tech peers.

For as pro-environment as Minnesota is it’s embarrassing that Texas is running an economy 5x the size of ours with 2x the renewable energy share. MN can’t pump out solar like TX can, but we do have a ridiculous nuclear ban preventing us from building more carbon free power.
