One slight correction. Not the world, just the West. I've lived in the West and SE Asia. This malaise is only in the West. The human energy and drive in the East is 10x higher. Just as America thought of Europe as the old world, I now think of the West at large as the old world. My western friends think the waning infrastructure is a COVID thing, we'll catch up. It won't catch up. Every day the East is accelerating ahead. Asia now carries the spotlight, when I was a kid it was a chaotic developing region. Africa is probably next to accelerate.
